About
Dr. Carla Retief is a Huntingdon, Tennessee native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University in 1989 and earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. She completed dermatology residency training in Chicago and a Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1999. According to the practice, she performs 800 to 1,000 skin cancer cases per year using Mohs Micrographic Surgery and holds fellowships with the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She developed BuffRX, a line of custom prescription skincare products. The team also includes Meshelle Howd, PA-C, a board-certified physician assistant; Brianna Hill, FNP, a family nurse practitioner; and medical aestheticians Libby Nevins and Lauren Dunning.
