About
The Nashville City Club was established in 1957 by Nashville businessman Emmett Russell, Jr., originally located in the Maxwell House Hotel. After a fire at the Maxwell House on Christmas Day 1961, the club relocated to the Hermitage Hotel in 1962, then moved to the ServiceSource Tower in 1967, where it remained for 56 years. In 2023 the club relocated to the historic 1930s Liggett building in the SoBro area of downtown Nashville. Over its history, the club has hosted presidents, vice presidents, dignitaries, politicians, and figures from law, healthcare, entertainment, real estate, and technology.
