About
Chef Vivek Surti is described as a First Generation American of Indian descent and a James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast. He pioneered what the restaurant calls the “First Generation American food movement” and designed Tailor to emulate an intimate dinner party in the way it fills both the bodies and souls of its guests. The dining room features décor with personal significance, including a crystal chandelier from Surti’s family home and a Rajasthani sword on display.

Private Events
Tailor offers full evening private buyouts, available any day or time subject to availability. The restaurant can accommodate up to 36 guests for a seated dinner during a full buyout, with flexibility to combine smaller tables into larger communal configurations. Events follow the seated tasting menu format with staff explanations of each dish, and guests may begin with a cocktail reception or proceed directly to their table.
