About

She earned degrees in Kinesiology, Athletic Training, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After moving to Nashville, she worked for nine years in a fast-paced outpatient orthopedic clinic, where she found that the high-volume structure limited her time with each patient and that treatments were often dictated by insurance constraints.
Lauren has described experiencing burnout, chronic fatigue, and high anxiety early in her career. She pursued mental health therapy and spiritual development and discovered Reiki through a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master named Jan Stansel, an experience that helped her manage her anxiety. As she learned more about Reiki, she recognized how its techniques could help her patients in pain, which led her to integrate the two practices.
