BDT Beverage was originally founded as Bull Distributing of Tennessee in December 2000 by Dave and Michelle Toman. Shortly after, Red Bull North America awarded the company distribution rights for the Nashville, Memphis, and Knoxville markets. In January 2001, the company opened its first office in Nashville, a 2,000 square foot space on Utopia Avenue, beginning with five vans and five sales reps. By August 2001, distribution centers in Knoxville and Memphis were fully operational.
