About
Red Rock Tileworks was founded in 2006 in founder Lindsay’s hometown of Charleston, IL, and relocated to Nashville in 2011, where it established its permanent studio at 447 Atlas Drive. The very first tile hand-carved, the Barinya, is still made by hand and remains available for purchase. The studio produces up to 500 square feet of tile per day, and the company emphasizes sustainability: rejected tiles are ground back into dust and remade, rejected field tiles are saved to be cut down for future orders, contaminated clay is collected for a local gardening company, and orders are wrapped in post-consumer recycled paper with biodegradable packing peanuts.
