About
Morning Glory Orchard was established in 1978. Curt and Christina Wideman purchased the orchard in 2002 from a family that had operated it for about a decade. Curt Wideman, who referred to the orchard as his mission field, passed away in 2017, and his daughter Alyson assumed daily operations. Christina Wideman retired in 2021. Alyson Terrel, a 2000 MTSU graduate who previously worked as a vice president of operations for a medical-software company, is the current owner. Her spouse Andy Terrel handles mechanical operations, drawing on a background in farming and manufacturing engineering. Andrea Williams joined full-time in 2023 as Event Director after a career in social work. Since 2017, the farm has invested in renovating the retail farm store, adding a commercial bakery, planting new trees, starting hard-cider production, and expanding event programming.
