About
The restaurant was started by Story and Kevin Craig. Story was born in New Orleans and raised in Texas, with a Cajun grandmother whose cooking influenced the menu, while Kevin was born in South Carolina and raised in Texas. After moving to Nashville, the couple created the restaurant out of a desire for “a little taste of home,” and the menu reflects that blend of New Orleans Cajun cooking, low country traditions, and Texas influences. The cafe-style service keeps the atmosphere casual and family-oriented.

Additional Information
The restaurant uses cafe-style service with first-come, first-serve seating and limited capacity, so guests order at the counter rather than from table service. Large parties of 10 or more are asked to call ahead so the restaurant can prepare for the group. The site includes an allergy notice covering common allergens, including milk, eggs, wheat, soybean, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish, and customers with concerns are encouraged to inquire about ingredients before ordering.
The breadth of the menu, which moves from Cajun staples and bayou specialties to seafood dinners, tacos, salads, and burgers, gives the restaurant a wide appeal while keeping its New Orleans and Texas roots at the center. Desserts and custom cakes extend the offering for celebrations, and the family-size to-go portions let customers serve the same dishes at home. Together, the dine-in service, family-sized takeout, and luncheon catering packs make the restaurant a destination for casual meals, larger gatherings, and catered events in the Goodlettsville area north of Nashville.
