Dr. Mark C. Xu received his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University in Shanghai, China, and completed a clinical fellowship in general surgery and surgical urology. He earned a Master of Science in molecular biology from Western Kentucky University and conducted biomedical research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Tennessee. According to the practice, Dr. Xu trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine including acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas, medicated diet, and Tai Chi, and worked alongside his father, Dr. Changsheng Xu, described as a founder of acupuncture anesthesia at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
