Swan Urogynecology, PC is a urogynecology and gynecology medical practice based in Nashville, Tennessee. The practice is led by Michael Charles Swan, MD, FPMRS, and focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders in women. According to the practice, conditions such as incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse are treatable and “not just a normal part of aging.” The office is located at 329 21st Avenue North, Suite 1, and offers both in-person and telemedicine appointments for select visits.
Services
The practice divides its care into urogynecology and gynecology services.
Urogynecology care addresses pelvic organ prolapse, in which weakened or stretched pelvic muscles allow one or more pelvic organs to descend out of place. The practice notes common contributing factors including pregnancy, childbirth, obesity, and chronic constipation. Several types of incontinence are treated, including stress urinary incontinence (leakage during activities such as sneezing, jumping, or laughing), urge incontinence, and fecal incontinence. Additional urogynecology services cover overactive bladder therapy, pelvic floor dysfunction, voiding and emptying disorders, pelvic pain, and interstitial cystitis, also described as painful bladder syndrome.
Gynecology services include management of pelvic pain, dysfunctional bleeding, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
